National Museum of Health & Medicine
Students will explore the history of military medicine from the Civil War and the history of microscopes. They will also learn about anatomy. By the end of the visit, students should be able to: explain the relationship between organ systems (and see actual organs), recognize the causes, diagnosis, and treatment of traumatic brain injuries, describe biomedical engineering, summarize disease categories and give an example of each, and describe one cause of a congenital anomaly.
The National Museum of Health & Medicine is located in Silver Spring, Maryland
