November 2015 – Economic Empowerment and Financial Literacy Event
For the fourth consecutive year, the Daniel A Payne CDC collaborated with PBS’ long-running personal finance show Moneywise with Kelvin Boston, and other strategic partners such as SunTrust and Industrial Bank, to host the Moneywise Financial Empowerment Summit. This event promoted financial, physical, and spiritual health to over 300 residents of the metro area. The 2015 program was held on November 7, 2015 at Metropolitan AME. The Moneywise Financial Empowerment Summit is considered one of the premier African American faith-based asset-building tours in America and is the official outreach program of the Moneywise with Kevin Boston PBS television series. Exhibitors from the D.C. Metro area provided information on jobs, housing, money management, the relation of overall health and wellness to financial wellness, and related areas.
